Once Upon a Mattress, Jr.

for students entering grades 6th-8th

If you thought you knew the story of 'The Princess and The Pea,' you are in for a walloping surprise! Did you know that Princess Winnifred actually swam the moat to reach Prince Dauntless the Drab? Or that it may not have been the pea at all that caused the princess a sleepless night? Carried on a wave of beguiling songs, by turns hilarious and raucous, romantic and melodic, this rollicking spin on the familiar classic tale of royal courtship and comeuppance provides for some side-splitting shenanigans. Chances are, you'll never look at fairy tales quite the same way again!

Oliver!

for students entering grades 9th-12th

This Tony and Olivier Award-winning musical brings the classic and beloved Charles Dicken’s novel to life with some of the most memorable characters and songs ever to hit the stage. It is one of the few musicals to win an Academy Award for Best Picture and is widely hailed as a true theatrical masterpiece by actors and audience members alike.

Join young, orphaned Oliver Twist as he navigates London’s underworld of theft and violence, searching for a home and a family. The streets of Victorian England come to life as Oliver becomes the neglected apprentice of an undertaker. Oliver escapes to London and finds acceptance amongst a group of petty thieves and pickpockets led by the conniving, but charismatic, Fagin. When Oliver is captured for a theft that he not commit, the benevolent victim Mr. Brownlow takes him in. Fearing the safety of his hideout, Fagin employs the sinister Bill Sikes and the sympathetic Nancy to kidnap him back, threatening Oliver’s chances of discovering the true love of a family.
