Wekiva River Players survives through the strengths of its members and volunteers. The Board of Directors, production staff (producer, director, choreographer, musical director, technical director, stage manager, etc.) actors and actresses are all non-paid, volunteer positions. Despite being volunteers, our staff is experienced and committed to the highest quality productions.
We're always looking for talented people to help with our shows. WRP does not require volunteers to be WRP members.
WRP strives to mount shows that offer as many opportunities for members and the community to participate. If there is not a role for you as a main character, there is probably a role for you in the ensemble. We are always looking for talented men and women (as well as children and teens) for singing and non-singing roles, dancing and non-dancing roles. No experience? No worries! Experience is not a prerequisite.
In general, WRP tries to fill the top staff positions with experienced people and members in good standing. If you are interested in learning any of these positions, we'll be happy to team you up as an assistant to one of our more experienced team members. Not everyone wants to be on stage! There are many technical aspects to theatre - lighting, sound reinforcement, video production, set design and construction, properties, costuming, and others.
